Day 161 2 Dec Fri Mysore to Bangalore to Mumbai

Time to leave Mysore and we say goodbye to the lovely man in the shop at the hotel whom we have become friendly with.
We need to get to Mumbai - the bus is a very long way and the trains are sold out so we have decided to get a flight from Bangalore. The well oiled wheels of public transport work wonderfully again as we board, first a local train to Bangalore,

then an airport express bus to the domestic air terminal where we check in for our Air India flight.

Not quite up to BA standard!
We land at 11.30pm (another long day) and are met by a super efficient gentleman from our hotel - the Executive Enclave, who whisks us across the city to our hotel.

The cost and suitability of accommodation in Mumbai has been a real issue - neither David nor Nicole were prepared to risk being in the "wrong area" of the city and this is the most expensive city in India to stay. We have had to stretch the budget to get a half decent place to stay. Equally, as our trip draws to a close we are becoming increasingly tired, but also trying to make the most of our remaining days. However the thought of coming home is looming large on everyone's mind with a mixture of excitement, apprehension and a tinge of sadness that our trip is nearly over.
